Services for Maxine Conway, 84, of Silo, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at the Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dalton-Holmes Chapel. Larry Conway, Jr. will officiate.
Maxine was born Friday, Feb. 15, 1924, in Wilson to J.C. and Kara Bell (Gamble) Stevens. She married James Conway on Jan. 24, 1948, in Henrietta, Texas. Maxine was born and raised in Oklahoma. She worked as a volunteer at the hospital and for the fire department. Maxine enjoyed antiques, interior designs and shopping.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of the home, one son and his spouse, one daughter and her spouse, four grandchildren and their spouses, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Ironwood Christian Camp, 49191 Cherokee Rd., Newberry Springs, CA 92365, or the charity of your choice.
