CARROLL "DeWAYNE" BLAN
Aug. 20, 1945 - June 16, 2004
Funeral services will be held on Wed., June 23 at 11 a.m. at McHenry Chapel-Franklin & Downs for Carroll "DeWayne" Blan who died at home in Modesto, California. Graveside services will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
Carroll was a native of Durant, Oklahoma, and lived in Modesto for 14 years. He was a welder for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict from 1963 to 1967. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He like to bowl, and he enjoyed his constant companion (his dog "Tawnee").
He is survived by his wife Darlene Blan of Modesto; children Scott Blan, Tonya Reid and Jeff Blan, all of Modesto; brothers Paul Blan of Bakersfield, and Roger Blan of Los Molinas; sisters Veta Underwood of Oklahoma, and Nine Franze of Los Molinas; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 601 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, Ca 95350.
