Charles A. Heard was born April 8, 1921 in Sunflower, Mississippi to William and Georgia Clark Heard and passed from this life Saturday, June 13, 2010 at the Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, TX at the age of 89.

Charles married Mary Margaret Miller on September 8, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah and they moved to Mead from Del City, OK in 1983. He was a civil servant working as a computer analyst for the government and worked in many different fields for the military. Charles worked at Air Force Bases in GA, OK, UT, OH, and TX. He loved fishing, yard work, model trains and wood ships.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Charles is survived by his wife Mary Margaret of Mead; sons "Dick" Charles Richard Heard and wife Donna of Macon, GA, Michael A. Wells and wife Carolyn of Dallas, TX, William C. Heard of Macon, GA; three grandchildren.

Services to celebrate Charles' life will be held 10:00am Thursday, June 17 at the Mead Cemetery pavilion in Mead, OK with Bro. Randy Lewis officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com. Brown's Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
