Virginia Lou "Ginnie" Hampton

August 9, 1952 ~ June 23, 2017

Virginia "Ginnie" Hampton "Quinton", a beloved daughter, wife, friend, and resident of Utica, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, June 23, 2017 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years 10 months and 14 days. She was born on August 9, 1952 in Durant, Oklahoma to Bo and Louise (Yandell) Hampton.

Ginnie was a strong/proud woman of Choctaw Indian, and Irish decent. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant for 25 years before she became disabled. Her passion in life was her cherished daughter, Trista, son-in-law, grandchildren, niece Tina, and her family.

Ms. Hampton is survived by her beloved daughter, Trista Winnett and husband Anthony of Utica, Oklahoma; cherished, granddaughter, Krislan Turner and husband Dustan of Durant, Oklahoma; cherished, grandson, Joshua Winnett of Utica, Oklahoma; niece, Tina Bennett and husband Rex of Durant, Oklahoma; great-nieces, Ariole Layton and husband Kyle of Coleman, Oklahoma, and Josie Bennett and fiance K.C. Walls of Durant, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Maryetta Hampton of Mead, Oklahoma; lifelong friend, Nelda Roundtree of Newville, Alabama; along with numerous other relatives and friends,

Ms. Hampton was preceded in death by her parents, Bo and Louise Hampton; brother, Joe Hampton; and significant other, Charles Dale Trent.

Family Hour will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma on Monday, June 26, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Pastor Jesse West officiating.

Interment will follow at the Mead Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Ring, Jerry Turman, Jory Allen, Joey Allen, Michael "Happy" Folsom, Randall Greenhaw, Thomas Greenhaw, Verlon Robison, and the honorary pallbearer is Clarence "C-Boy" Yandell.
