Services to celebrate the life of Jay Alan Elliott, 49, of Mead, who passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at his home, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brown's Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Rev. Charles Bates will officiate.

Jay was born Nov. 22, 1958, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Robert Eugene and Joni Belle Brogdon Elliott.

He attended school in Moore and spent the majority of his life in Oklahoma City where he was a residential framer.

Jay married Pamela L. Baucom April 25, 1983, in Oklahoma City at his parents' home. They moved to Bryan County in 2003 and built their home on Lake Texoma.

Jay enjoyed camping, personal water crafts, watching movies, and he was an avid sports fan.

He was a member of the Victory Life Church, National Rifle Association and the Oklahoma Home Builders Association. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell and Marie Elliott, Jesse Elmer and Jonia N. Brogdon and uncle, Charles Steven Elliott.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela, of the home; parents, Bob and Joni Elliott; brother, Mark Elliott Sr.; sister, Kathy McCall and husband Scott; nephews, Mark Elliott Jr., Kori Elliott, Jase Elliott McCall and Landon McCall, all of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, JerriLynne Wilhite and husband Mark of Durant; niece, Sierra D. Wilhite of Durant; sister-in-law, Courtney N. Ashby of Fort Worth, Texas; aunt, Annie Summers of Ardmore; cousins, Gina Reed and Todd Summers; god son, Elisha D. Ferguson of Oklahoma City; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Interment will be in Mead Cemetery with Mark Wilhite, Scott McCall, Kevin Sanders, Dustin Tilson, Jase Elliott McCall, Landon McCall, Mark Elliott Jr. and Ron Thomas serving as pallbearers.
