Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Mead Cemetery in Mead for Evelyn L. Crank, 78, of Durant, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Durant. Rev. David Ervin will officiate. Evelyn was born Sunday, Nov. 16, 1930, in Hurst, Texas, to David and Izora (Reynolds) Moon. She married Claud Crank on April 16, 1949, in Richland Hills, Texas.
She started the Silver Spur Riding Club of Fort Worth, Texas. She worked for Hell on the Red for 15 years in the food service. She loved horseback riding, visiting with loved ones, cooking and country music.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 1999.
She is survived by sons Mal Crank and wife Lue of Ravenna, Texas, and Herby Crank and wife Teresa of Durant; grandsons Michael Crank and Corey Crank, both of Weatherford, Texas, and Kevin Crank of Richardson, Texas; brothers Billy Moon and wife Marion and Jimmy Moon and wife Beth, all of Hurst, Texas, and Johnny Moon and wife Annese of Arlington, Texas; four great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Crank, Rusty Crank, Richard Armstrong, Tony Ervin, Elric Eaton and Wilson Mitchell.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. today at the Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
