Jimmy Wayne Brown 77, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday morning October 12, 2022 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born August 7, 1945 in Durant to James David and Stella (Lester) Brown.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Wife Joyce A. (Bridges) Brown, a Sister Barbara (Brown) Babb, Brothers Gerald Don Brown and Billy Bob Brown.

Surviving is his loving and loyal Daughter Vicki Lynn Brown Dobbins. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Joshua Kenneth and wife Lacey and their Children Aubrey and Tyler, Jordan Meade and wife Tina and their Children Ellie Grace and Kimber Rose, Jadyn Alexis Carter and Walker McGee and Jace Walker.

Jimmy served in the Department of the Army and Air Force where he was a medical aidsman and a marksman and after an Honorable Discharge he went to work for the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office. After serving there for two years he transferred to the Durant Police Department where he served as Sargent Badge # 255 for twenty five years. His Family was his everything and he made them so proud (Their Hero).

A Funeral Service for Jimmy Wayne Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon October 19, 2022 at the Mead Baptist Church with Don Hyde officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow in the Mead Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers please send donations to the Durant Police Retirement Fund.
