Julia Pearl McGrafh Collins

Julia Pearl (McGrath) Collins of Kemp, Oklahoma passed peacefully from this life on December 2, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born on June 28, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado to Thomas Christopher and Alpha Retta (Perry) McGrath. On May 18, 1946, she married James Norman Collins in Raton, New Mexico.

Julia worked as a cashier for local restaurants. She was known to frequently attend yard sales and auctions, looking for a good deal. Julia also enjoyed animals, including pigs and calves. Julia loved caring for others and she will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Bob, Norman, and Milton Collins, as well as her daughters Judy and Joy Collins. Her legacy lives on with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents Thomas Christopher and Alpha Retta McGrath, her husband James Norman Collins, her two sons Tom and Buel Collins, and her daughter Trudy Collins.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel. Julia will be laid to rest at the Kemp Cemetery following the funeral service.
