James “Smokey” Sinor was born on Saturday, September 12, 1942 in Denison, Texas to Cleatus Beauron and Beulah Valera (Bone) Sinor. He passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009 in Denison, Texas at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 12 days. James married S.Carolyn Jo Grant on November 23, 1962 in Durant, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a former member of the Kemp Baptist Church. James served in the United States Army and retired ater 20 plus years. Mr. Sinor was also a member of the Kingston Masonic Lodge #287, the Durant Masonic Lodge #45 and the Durant Eastern Star #17. James had installed sprinkler systems for Jim’s Lawn Care Service and was retired from the Corp of Engineers. He enjoyed traveling, playing dominoes, hunting and fishing.
His Survivors Includes Son,Kenneth D. Sinor of Caddo, Oklahoma,Daughters:Sheila Moss and husband, Clifford, of Kingston, Oklahoma,Jeannie Thomas and husband, Larry, of Durant, Oklahoma, Brother:Earnest Sinor and wife, Shirley, of Hendrix, Oklahoma, Grandchildren: Justin Orr and wife Tara of Cumberland, Oklahoma,Jarred Moss and Cheyenne Sams of Cumberland, Oklahoma,Brandon Joe Thomas of Durant,Oklahoma,Chandler Louis Thomas of Durant, Oklahoma Aunts,Juanita Williams of Durant, Oklahoma,Geneva Muse of Wynnewood, Oklahoma,Numerous Nieces and Nephews,Host of other Relatives and Friends. Mr. Sinor was preceded in death by his Parents, Cleatus and Beulah Sinor; loving and devoted wife, S. Carolyn Joe Sinor on February 25, 2008; Sons, Mansfield and Nick Edwin Sinor; Brothers, T.M. and Cleatus Sinor; Sister, Melva Jean Sinor.
