Johnnie B. Roberts a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the age of 76 years 2 months and 17 days. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma to John M. and Ida (Lindsey) Murphree on Monday, November 16, 1936. Johnnie married Neff S. Roberts in Durant, Oklahoma on August 20, 1961.
Johnnie was of the Baptist Faith and graduated from the Caddo Public School. She dedicated herself to 50 years of service as a secretary for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. Johnnie enjoyed seeing new places and traveled whenever she could.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Neff of the home; sister-in-law, Grace Murphree of Durant, Oklahoma; nephews, Larry McGraw of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Rodney Hutton of Ft. Worth, Texas; nieces, Eloise Losawyer of Durant, Oklahoma, Shirley Slade of Durant, Oklahoma and Carolyn Johnson of Durant, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida Murphree; sisters, Cleo Hutton and Helen McGraw; brothers, Lee Walton, Clinton, Eugene and Ray Murphree.
A graveside Service was be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. James Robinson officiating.
