ackie "Kirk" Quarles a beloved resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma and cherished family member left this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday January 18, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born in Yuba, Oklahoma to James Jordan and Eura Charlene (Mayfield) Quarles on May 24, 1932.
Jackie was always a "people person" who derived great pleasure from aggravating those around him, especially his family. He enjoyed fishing, and loved to farm the land.
Mr. Quarles is survived by his son, James Quarles and wife Michelle of Calera, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matt Quarles and wife Courtney of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Cameron Quarles of Calera, Oklahoma, Lawson Quarles of Calera, Oklahoma, Landry Quarles of Calera, Oklahoma, Leah Parks and husband Josh of Sherman, Texas, and Billy Lawson and wife Janica of Albany, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Austin Parks and Bryce Parks of Sherman, Texas, and Addilyn Lawson of Albany, Oklahoma; sisters, Peggy Mitchell and husband Ray of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Cora Maltby of Lakewood, California, and Nina "Topsey" Tigner of Denison, Texas; brother, D.C. "Woot" Quarles and wife Shelba of Bokchito, Oklahoma; along with numerous other relatives and friends,
Mr. Quarles was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eura Quarles; sisters, Tishie Bagby, Sylvia Jackson and Wanda Bilby; brothers, David Quarles, Author Quarles, J.R. Quarles, Ralph Quarles, Frank Quarles, Eddie French, and Richard Wilson.
Durant, Oklahoma. A chapel service will be at 10:00 AM Monday January 22nd at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Bro. Tommy Rowland officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Justin Baxter, Bradley Baxter, Chris Avants, Paul DaVault, Brian Riddick, and Josh Boyd.
