Bobbie Jean Brewer Mitchell entered this life on December 26, 1934 in Durant, Oklahoma born to Valliant Wallace and Opal Wren Brewer and entered the Gates the of Heaven on February 6, 2014 at her home at the age of 79.

A lifelong resident of Durant, Bobbie graduated from Durant Public Schools.

She married Marvin J. Mitchell on December 23, 1950 and has dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Bobbie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and she enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her dear family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Valliant and Opal Brewer; sister, Juanita Hought and brother, John Valliant Brewer.

Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Marvin J. Mitchell of the home; sons, James V. Mitchell and wife Denise of Durant, Oklahoma and Rickey G. Mitchell and wife Vickie of Kemp, Oklahoma; sister, Muriel Wylie of Bennington, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Mandy Mullens and husband Dustin, Dr. James M. Mitchell of New York, New York, Jordan Mitchell of Denton, Texas, Erick Mitchell and wife Crystal of Rockwall, Texas and Mark Mitchell and wife Christina of Kemp, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Madyson Mullens, Kaden Mullens, Preslie Mitchell and Brantley Mitchell; numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at Highland Cemetery. Pastor Darel Bunch will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 9 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
