Stella Hart, a beloved mother, grandmother, and resident of Durant, Oklahoma joined her Savior on Thursday March 9, 2017 at the age of 95 years 11 months and 6 days. She was born in Roberta, Oklahoma to John Haden and Jesse Mae (Wedge) Roberts. Stella Roberts married William Jennings Hart at the Calvary Baptist Church on January 20, 1940.

Stella loved working on the farm. In the 80’s she worked for several laundry mats, the Briarwood Shopping Center, and for Jody Harrison at 16th and Evergreen, she also worked for Cecil Smith at the Green Spray Laundry. After she retired she and her beloved husband spent a lot of time gardening, Stella especially loved her flowers. She liked to grow cantaloupes, and sweet potatoes to sell. Stella cherished her dog Suedo, he was her constant companion. The last several years she enjoyed feeding the horses on the farm. She was a strong woman with a loving compassionate heart and was always doing things for her family.

Mrs. Hart is survived by her son, Jennings Bryan Hart of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Stephanie Manker and husband Gary of Durant, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Emily Clements of Dallas, Texas; great-grandson, Hayden Manker of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters, Ruth Wade of Durant, Oklahoma and Helen Harvey of Lawton, Oklahoma; and brother, Royce Roberts of Humble, Texas.

Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her husband, William Jennings Hart; parents, John and Jesse Mae Roberts; grandson, Cory Hart; and brother, Herman Roberts.

The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Calvary Baptist Church 715 W. Louisiana, Durant, Oklahoma.

A chapel service will be at 2:00 PM Monday March 13th at the Highland Cemetery Chapel with Bro. Charles Loyd officiating.
