Walter Vern Ford a resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma passed away at his home on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the age of 90. He was born in Ingrahma, Illinois to Floyd and Hazel (Brown) Ford on August 2, 1924.

Walter was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a welder by trade for 25 years and a member of the Boiler Maker Union. Walter served his country in the United States Navy.

Mr. Ford is survived by his wife Emma; nieces and nephews, Greg and Debbie Tucker of Fairview, Texas, Keith and Diane Stroud of Duncan, Oklahoma, Kelly Blue of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Derek Tucker of Fairview, Texas, Chase Tucker of Fairview, Texas, Chris and Alessa Beck of of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brian and Alicia Koenke of Edmond, Oklahoma Robert and Paige Stroud of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Clarence Blue, Jr; sister-in-law, Della Blue of Bokchito, Oklahoma.

Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hazel Ford; sister, Darlene Walker; brother, Robert Ford.

A Funeral Service in Walter’s memory will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Highland Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Jesse West officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
