Kenneth Leon "Ken" Drummonds

Kenneth Leon Drummonds was born on March 14, 1928 in Haileyville, Oklahoma to Deleon and Susan (Weineke) Drummonds. Ken entered the gates of Heaven on April 28, 2020 in Sherman, Texas at the age of 92.

Ken graduated from Haileyville High School and later attended Eastern State College in Wilburton and Southeastern Oklahoma State University playing basketball for coach Bloomer Sullivan while earning his bachelor’s degree. He dedicated his life educating and coaching young people at several schools in Oklahoma and was a longtime referee in all sporting events. He spent much of his free time on the golf course where he scored three hole-in-ones.

He married Anita Sue “Susie” Hughes on November 23, 1982 and they have been united as one for 37 plus years. He was a member of West Sherman Baptist Church and the Pittsburg County Athletic Hall of Fame.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold Drummonds, and his former wife, Johnye Drummonds, mother of Terri.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Susie Drummonds; beloved daughters, Terri Jackson and husband Kevin, Ashli Robinette and husband Greg Cox, son Rocky Spicer and wife Summer; treasured grandchildren, Krystal Jackson, Kara Williams and husband Bruce, Faith Robinette and Teryn Spicer; great grandchildren, Jackson Williams and Kenton Nash Williams; mother in law, Lenora Barnes, and numerous extended family and friends.
