Services for Monroe H. Cross of Durant, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. 5th ST, Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. Jesse Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery, Durant Oklahoma with Harold Cross, David McDonald, Billy Wells, Jeff Rambo, Bobby Mitchell and Don Jones serving as pallbearers.

Family hour will be from 7-8 P.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Cross passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 25 days. He was born on Tuesday, May 10, 1927 in Utica, Oklahoma to Charles and Annie (Puckett) Cross.

Monroe was a farmer/rancher in the Blue area. He was a mechanic, working on all kinds of farm equipment. He loved to deer hunting, rodeo's, roping and enjoyed driving around looking at wildlife scenery. He enjoyed being with his family when he could.

Monroe is survived by his, children Virginia Alexander of Georgia, Larry Cross of Pennsylvania, Harold Cross and wife, Sandra of Texas, James Cross and wife Tina, of Oklahoma, Terry Cross and wife, Nancy of Texas, Boyd Cross and wife, Melissa, of Texas, Raymond Cross of Oklahoma, Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Sister Kathern Standridge of Oklahoma, Special Friend Cleo Vails, Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends and all of his Friends at Braums.

Monroe was preceded in death by his parent Charles and Annie Cross; brothers Arthur, John and Willie Leon Cross.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Durant, Oklahoma
