Funeral services for Kari Ann Buchanan, 29 of Durant, who died Thursday, February 26, 2009, at her residence, were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Grace Baptist Church. Brother Anthony Williams officiated.
Kari was born Friday, February 22, 1980 in Denison, Texas.
Church, children's church and Falls Creek camp were all activities she enjoyed. She also loved the OU Sooners.
She is survived by her father and special mom of the home, Gary Lewis and Joyce Buchanan of Durant, mother, Patricia and stepfather Danny Tucker of Sherman, Texas; grandparents, Dorothy Buchanan of Durant, Delbert and Lottie Buffalo of Durant, and Danny and Nonie Tucker of Tom Bean, Texas; brothers, Jusin Boone and Cathy, and Jason Boone and wife Teresa, all of Durant, and Drew Tucker of Sherman, Texas; nieces, Calee Boone and Emily Westmoreland, both of Durant; nephews, Derrick Boone, Garrett Boone, Kolby Westmoreland, all of Durant, and Brett Anderson, of Boswell; Aunt and Uncle Ralph and Joetta Buchanan, Donald and Kay Buchanan, all of Durant, Bobby Buchanan of Caddo, Lois Cubley of Durant, Charles & Kay Simmons of Moore, Oklahoma, special cousin Michael (Ruskey) Buchanan of Durant special Aunt Stella Mullens of Durant, and numerous other aunts and uncles.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Durant. Pallbearers will be Mike Snell, Simon Polojakaw, Chris Tubbs, Dwight Robinson, Thomas Carter, and Ronnie Cubley.
