Cindy Briscoe passed peacefully into the loving hands of her Lord and Savior Saturday evening at her home with Tim by her side. Born in Gainesville, Texas in 1959, Cindy was the eldest child of Jim and Linda Spencer of Durant.

Cindy was a calm, gentle woman, perfectly suited for teaching kindergarten for twenty-one years at Washington Irving Elementary in Durant. Her personality made her a great wife for Tim and a great mother for Adam and Lauren. She loved her Lord, her family, her students, dining out, and traveling. She had a natural curiosity that made her enjoy travel, always wondering what was over the next hill and around the next corner.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Tim Briscoe, and children Adam Briscoe and wife Christina and Lauren Claborn and husband Lance. Her parents are Jim and Linda Spencer, her brother is Jim Spencer Jr. and wife Jill, and her sister is Debbie Anthony and husband Todd. Her mother-in-law is Frances Briscoe. Cindy is also survived by a number of additional relatives.

Family visitation will be Monday July 29 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on July 30, 2013 at the Washington Irving Elementary School auditorium located at 812 West Locust in Durant with Dr. Greg Clay and Dr. Ernest Sturch, Jr. officiating. Internment following at Highland Cemetery in Durant with her family as pallbearers.

Memories of Cindy will be cherished by those who loved her, especially by Tim, Adam, and Lauren. We will think of you every day. Family and friends may send online condolences and view tributes at www.holmescoffeymurray.com.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
