Margaret Welborn Brimage, a long-time resident of Durant, Oklahoma, homemaker, and member of Calvary Baptist Church passed away, Sunday, January 8, 2017, in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be at Highland Cemetery, Durant, Oklahoma, at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. Family Hour will be from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant.

Margaret was born June 25, 1921, in Clarksville, Texas, to Emery and Addie McAlester Welborn. She married Theondo Joe Brimage on August 29, 1940, in Caney, Oklahoma, until his death September 16, 1995.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Royce Brimage and wife Cullan of Plano, Texas, and Michael Brimage, Bloomburg, Texas; son-in-law, David Martinez of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Schel Hines, and Steve Hines, Durant, Oklahoma, Stephanie Brimage Johnson, Bivins, Texas, Shelly Brimage Brown, Doddridge, Arkansas, and Wade Brimage, Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Cody Brown, Conner Brown, Cooper Brown, Parker Taylor, and Kara Ferguson; and great-great grandchildren, Dublin and Westin Ferguson; and beloved, faithful friend, Yvonne Downs of Durant, Oklahoma.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Addie Welborn; husband, Theondo Joe Brimage; daughter, Laretta Jo Brimage Martinez; daughter-in-law, Judy Brimage; five brothers and three sisters.

A special thanks to Steve and Schel for the help and care they gave their Maw Maw these last years.
