Callie Ruth Trimble Blakey

Callie Ruth Blakey a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life into the next on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the age of 77. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma to Voyle and Gladys (Hayworth) Trimble on October 22, 1937. Callie Ruth Trimble married Charles Ross Blakey in Gainesville, Texas on June 4, 1954.

Callie was a member of the Baptist faith, and because of her caring nature she chose to be a nurse. She liked the quiet solitude of reading a good book, working outside in her garden, sewing for her family and making beautiful quilts.

Mrs. Blakey is survived by her husband, Charles Ross Blakey of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Cindy Gish and husband Steve of Canyon Lake, Texas; son, Randy Blakey and wife Angie of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Jamie Miller and husband Carl of Canyon Lake, Texas, Lynzi Estrada of San Marcos, Texas, Kelsey Gish and husband Chris of Kansas City, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Noah Miller of Canyon Lake, Texas and Adalie Widziewicz of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Katherine Human of McKinney, Texas and Nita Ruth of Calera, Oklahoma; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Jeannene Dyer of Gainesville, Texas and Ken and Cathy Blakey of Gainesville, Texas; and caregivers, Debbie Grove, Lona Weger and Lisa Mitchell.

Mrs. Blakey was preceded in death by her parents, Voyle and Gladys Trimble; 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Family Hour will be from 1-2:00 PM before the service on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Western Meadows Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Cole Newton officiating. Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Gish and Carl Miller.
