Miss Gloria Sumner a resident of Durant, Oklahoma joined her Savior on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the age of 85 years and 2 months. She was born in Los Angeles, California on January 23, 1932 to Samuel Ray and Fannie Mae (Parker) Sumner.

Miss Gloria was of the Holiness faith. She retired from Cigna Life Insurance after 40 years of service.

We will miss this sweet lady. Gloria was always happy with a big smile and hello for anyone who came to visit. Even in her last days she laughed and made silly faces just to see us smile. Gloria never married or had children but she had lots of nieces and nephews who thought the world of her and loved her so much.

Miss Sumner is survived by her sister, Virginia Peña of Durant, Oklahoma; and brother, Victor Sumner and wife Lynn of Medford, Oregon.

Miss Sumner was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Fannie Sumner; three brothers, Benson, Norman and Michael Sumner; and sister, Linora Sumner Wallace.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday March 7th at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo Bro. Mike Wingfield officiating. The pallbearers will be Bill Peña, David Hickey, Jeremy Bromagem and Michael Wingfield.

Family and friends may send online condolences and view tributes at www.holmescoffeymurray.com .

Services are under the direction of Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
