Carol Jean (Garner) Hyten

Carol Jean Hyten of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Wednesday June 15, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1942, to Charlie A. Garner and Pearline Beatrice (Flinn) Garner. At the age of 23 she married Wayne Hyten in Dallas, Texas on May 27, 1965.

Carol was employed as a tile inspector, and she had many interests in life. Not the least was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and hosting family events in her home. Carol loved cooking for these family gatherings. She also loved to travel. One place in particular was Laughlin, Nevada where she enjoyed the casinos.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Susan Perkins and Randy Perkins of Mesquite, Texas. Four grandchildren, Randall Davidson Jr, Ashley Davidson, Danica Finch and Dylan Rogers as well as four great-grandchildren. Brother Jerry Garner and wife Lucy of Albany, Oklahoma.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Charlie A. Garner and Pearline Beatrice (Flinn) Garner, husband Wayne Hyten, daughter Carol Waynette (Cissy) Rogers Hyten and grandson Chandler Daniel Rogers.

Services for Carol will be held at 2:00 pm Friday June 24, 2022, at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Pena officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm the same day, before the service. Carol will be laid to rest at Garner Family Cemetery in Albany, Oklahoma.
