Nelda Grant Reynolds

Nelda Reynolds a resident of Colbert, Oklahoma, and dedicated servant of her Lord Jesus Christ, passed into the arms of her Savior on Sunday March 25, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born in Hillsboro, Texas to Perry Grant and Gladys (Aston) Grant on February 9, 1932. Nelda married her beloved L.D. in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Nelda spent her life dedicated to the education of children as a Math teacher in Whitesboro and Pottsboro, Texas. She enjoyed doing the Lord's work as a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Colbert, Oklahoma. Nelda was always active in the organizations she was involved in; the Red Cross, The Girl Scouts of America, Little League and the Red Hat Society. She loved working with her hands sewing, and crafting.

Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her children, David Reynolds of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Kay Reynolds of London, England, D'Ann Bowles of Colbert, Oklahoma, and Richard Reynolds of Colbert, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Grant of Lake Jackson, Texas. Dr. Warren Grant of Bryan, Texas, Charles Grant of Pipe Creek, Texas, Don Grant of Chester, Texas, and Jerry Grant of Caldwell, Texas.

Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by parents, Perry and Gladis Grant; beloved husband, L.D. Reynolds; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Reynolds; and one brother, James Grant.

Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Tuesday March 27th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday March 28th at the 1st Baptist Church in Colbert, Oklahoma with Bro. Ronnie Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma. The pallbearers will be Ryan Reynolds, Chad Spohn, Grant Butts, Jeff Butts, Marshall Tucker, and Jared Tucker.
