Charles Wilson Woodard, Jr. was born on Thursday, April 1, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee to Charles Wilson Woodard, Sr.. and Sarah Lou Anderson Woodard. He passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at his home in Ennis, Texas with his family around him. Mr. Woodard was 63 years 1 month 7 days. He married Wanda Gilbert on March 15, 1974 in Bonham, Texas.
C.W. was the superintendent of R.L. Harkins paint supply and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ennis, Texas. He enjoyed car shows, swap meets, races, fishing, and hunting. He loved his 1930 Model A, pampering and restoring it. His greatest joy was his family. C.W. will be best remembered as a “fine” man always willing to help family and strangers in need.
His family includes his wife, Wanda of the home; sons & daughter-in-law, Charlie Woodard of Wilson, Oklahoma & Jerry & Felicia Woodard of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Brandie Woodard & fiancé, Gabe Larez of Ennis, Texas; brother & sister-in-law, David & Cindy Woodard of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters & brothers-in-law, Opal & Claire Bear, Barbara & Russell Bear, all of Rickman, Tennessee and a sister “second wife” Jan Malone of Bennington, Oklahoma.Grandchildren; Paige Gollehon, Caden Hubbard, Tim Woodard, Brittney Woodard, Michael Woodard, Dylon Woodard and Savannah Woodard
Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Sarah Woodard; sisters, Pat Jackson & Kathy Woodard; brothers, Bobby & Jimmy Woodard.
Family hour Wednesday, May 10 from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m.at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 11 in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Darel Bunch
Internment will follow in the Bokchito Cemetery with David Malone, Charlie Woodard, Tim Woodard, Caden Hubbard, Mike Woodard, and John Macalik serving as pallbearers.
