Peggy Jane Willis, a resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma left this life, and joined her Savior on Friday August 4, 2017 at the age of 83 years 11 months and 17 days. She was born on August 18, 1933 in Rosco, Texas to Henry Miles and Frances Ethal (Linday) Emerson. Peggy married Ted Willis in Rosco, Texas on August 26, 1950.

Mrs. Willis is survived by her beloved husband, Ted Willis of Bokchito, Oklahoma; sons, Jim Willis and wife of Carolyn of Bokchito, Oklahoma, and Michael Willis and wife Tammy of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amanda Counce and husband Chris, Brad and Denise Willis, Ashley Willis, Staci Willis, and Doug Dederick and wife Brooke; great-grandchildren, Jase Counce, Noah Willis, Brynna Counce, Ezra Willis, and Grace Dederick; brother-in-law, Harold Willis and wife Wilma; sisters-in-law, Maxine Emerson, Irene Willis, and Verline Marten; nieces, Janis Andrews, Carol Manhard, Amanda Turner, Sharon Vallejo, Betty Jane, Carol, and Pamela Willis; nephews, Harold Ray Willis, Harlen Marten, and Matt Manhard; and several great-nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Emerson; brothers, Billy Joe Emerson, Henry Emerson, and Jimmy Emerson; and sister, Frances Emerson Norris.

Family Hour will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma on Wednesday, August 9th.  A church service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday August 10th at the Bokchito Church of Christ in Bokchito with Logan Cates officiating.

Interment will follow at Bokchito Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Counce, Darell Jestis, Dean Jestis, Matt Manhard, and Russell Prentice.
