Juliene Riddle Quinn

Juliene (Riddle) Quinn, a resident of Pleasant Hill, California, entered her final rest and joined her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2019 at the age of 94. A graveside service will be at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma at 10:00 AM Saturday May 11th with Bro. Ross Phillips officating. The pallbearers will be her 3 sons, Thomas (Buster), William (Bill) and Stacey.

Vita Juliene Riddle was born December 30, 1924 at Banty, Oklahoma. She attended all the Elementary Grades at Banty with the exception of the one year the family was in Arizona. She rode the school bus and attended High School in Bokchito.

After graduating from High School, Juliene attended Southeastern State College in Durant, Oklahoma. Later, she taught school one year in Hamburg, Arkansas-living with Ethel and Fred while there. The following year she entered the Nurses’ Training at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas. She was Valedictorian of her graduating class in May of 1948.

Juliene lived in Durant, Oklahoma and was employed as County Health Nurse for Bryan County. Her caring heart led her to spend her life in the nursing profession. She proudly served as a Deacon at the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian church in California. Juliene enjoyed Senior Center Activities, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Quinn is survived by her children, Thomas (Buster) Quinn and wife Jill of Martinez, California, William (Bill) Quinn and wife Sharman of Pleasant Hill, California, Jennifer Quinn of Walnut Creek, California, and Stacey Quinn of Reno, Nevada: eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren: also many family members in Texas and Oklahoma.

Mrs. Quinn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Bill, Randall, and Watson Riddle, along with sisters, Ethel Nickles and Evadna Marshall. Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma www.holmescoffeymurray.com
