Kathryn Spicer Earley

Kathryn Earley a cherished family member and resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life into the next on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the age of 87 years 9 months and 24 days. She was born in Randolph, Texas on Thursday, June 24, 1926 to Benjamin and Dollie (Bodine) Spicer. Kathryn Spicer married Ralph Lee Earley her partner in life in Hugo, Oklahoma on Thursday, February 6, 1941.

Our mother gave birth to 6 children but raised 7 including one grandchild Michael Marsh. She loved sewing and visiting with children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Earley is survived by her sons, Benny Earley and wife Betty of Little City, Oklahoma, Jerry Earley and wife Aggie of Armstrong, Oklahoma, Daniel Earley of Durant, Oklahoma and Joseph Earley of Calera, Oklahoma; daughters, LeaAnn Vaughn of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Mary Marsh of Calera, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Earley was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Foster Spicer and Dollie Bodine Spicer; husband, Ralph Lee Earley; son-in-law, Ronnie Vaughn; brothers, M.J. and Foster Spicer; sisters, Mildred Rossen and Carlene Spicer; infant brothers, Edwin, Edgar, James and Leslie Spicer.

Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 PM Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home. A Funeral Service in honor of her memory will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Dr. Ray Earley officiating. Interment will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Lee Earley, Tyler Earley, Patrick Earley, Dustin Earley, Eric Vaughn and Eugene Earley. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Marsh and Michael Wirick.
