Service for Charles Borchardt Jr. 85 of Bennington, Oklahoma will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Old Presbyterian Church in Bennington, Oklahoma. Officiating will be the Rev. Marvin Redwine and Dewey Shaffer Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Coker,Doug Deel,Dave Cox, James Patty,George Williams and Ben Mooney. Internment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery Bokchito, Oklahoma.

Charles Borchardt was born September 21, 1924 in Wolf Creek, Bryan County, Oklahoma to Charles and Myrtle(Brown) Borchardt. He passed from this life January 15, 2010 in Bennington, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years 3 months and 24 days.

Mr. Borchardt grew up with many aunts and uncles and cousins on both his mother's side of the family and his dad's side of the family, all of whom called him Junior and all of whom are now gone. He has one living brother. James who lives in Redding, California. Charles was proudly called 'Daddy" by his four children and 'Paw Paw' by his grand children and great grandchildren.

Shortly after returning home from the war, he married Bettye Joan Cody in Dallas on August 3, 1947. They began their married life together in Dallas, Texas living in a duplex on McKinney Avenue. Two years later, they moved to Irving where they continued to live from 1949 to 1988, for a total of 39 years, raising their four children, living their lives, dealing with the deaths of their own parents, vacationing, dreaming of retirement, finally retiring to their home in Bennington. He was a member of Old Bennington Presbyterian Church since 1995.

His Survivors Include: Wife: Bettye Borchardt of the Bennington , Oklahoma Daughter Rena Mahaffey, Keller, Texas, Sons Gary Borchardt and wife Rebecca of Quinlan Texas, Larry Borchardt Irving, Texas, Robert Borchardt and wife Hong of Fort Worth, Texas. Grandchildren Vickie Malone and husband Rick of Bennington, Oklahoma, Diane Borchardt of Denison, Texas, Annette Bristol and husband Zachary of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jerri Borchardt of Quinlan, Texas, Joanie Patty of Garland, Texas, James Patty and wife Pam of Sherman, Texas, Jeffrey Patty of Quinlan, Texas, ZhiYang Chen of Fort Worth, Texas, Great-Grandchildren Kayle and Austin Malone of Bennington, Oklahoma, Aaron Hess of Denison, Texas, John Walker Patty of Sherman, Texas

. Mr. Borchardt was preceded in death by his Parents, Charles Lemuel and Myrtle Borchardt; Sister, Ruby Parker; Son-In-Law, Ken Mahaffey.
