Betty E. Bennett

Betty E. Bennett, a longtime resident of Bennington, Oklahoma passed from this eartly life and into the arms of her Savior in Denison, Texas on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the age of 74 years 8 months and 3 days. She was born to Wayne and Lillie (Thomas) Percell in Bennington, Oklahoma. Betty Percell married John Bennett in Arlington, Texas on May 28, 1994.

Betty was a member of the Baptist faith. She had a loving nature, and it gave her great pleasure to care of her grandchildren. Betty could always be found in the kitchen preparing delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed the hours she spent in her garden growing vegetables, and the time she committed to helping at the Bennington School. But the most important thing in life to Betty was her family and she considered them her greatest blessing.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband John Bennett of Bennington, Oklahoma; daughter, Regina Lemon of Madill, Oklahoma; mother, Lillie Randolph of Colbert, Oklahoma; sisters, Toby Rowland and husband Steve of Ft. Worth, Texas, Terry Rhoades and husband Clifford of Denison, Texas and Lisa Hammons and husband John of Hugo, Oklahoma; brothers, Gene Percell and wife Cheryl of Bennington, Oklahoma, Randall Percell and wife Dana of Bennington, Oklahoma and Ronnie Percell and wife Debbie of Ringling, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason Anzaldua and fiancé Michelle Booth of Bennington, Oklahoma, Latonya Ingram of Durant, Oklahoma, Bryan Neeley of Denison, Texas and Nikki Wolfe of Ada, Oklahoma; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Percell; and "Pops" Rev. Dale Randolph.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 3-4:00 PM Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A service in honor of her memory will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Bennington First Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Kuykendall and Bro. Marvin Lowey officiating. Interment will follow at Bennington Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Dale Monroe, Danny Thomas, Randall Percell, Ronnie Percell, Mike Hill and Scott Hill. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryan Neely, Jimmy Booth, Dale Gene Anzaldua, Stetson Anzaldua and Jerry Sheffield.
