ENID - The funeral for Berneice Louise Winter, 90, of Okeene, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Mennonite Brethren Church, Okeene. The Rev. Bennet Peters will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery , east of Okeene. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary, Okeene. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1919, south of Okeene to Elvena Mondick and John Weinmeister and died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Okeene Hospital.

She attended Arapaho School and graduated from Okeene High School

She married Carl Winter Nov. 11, 1938. He died Oct. 2, 1997.

She was a homemaker and baked cakes for others. She was a member of Mennonite Brethren Church, Okeene.

Surviving are one daughter, Janice Lubbers of Edmond; three sons, Don Winter and Cleatus Winter, both of Enid, and Larry Winter of Okeene; one sister, Luella Childs of Seiling; one brother, Robert Weinmeister of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mennonite Brethren Church, Okeene.
