Graveside memorial service for Alene Walton, 92, was held Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, in Roselawn Cemetery, east of Okeene. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary, Okeene.

Alene was born Aug. 6, 1919, in Delaware to Frank and Edna Bryant and died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at OU Medical Center, Edmond.

She married Paul Raymond Walton Aug. 12, 1938. They lived in Nowata county, Homestead, Fairview and Blaine County. She was a published author and song writer.

Surviving are son, Danny of Franklin, N.C.; daughter, Vivian of Edmond; brother, Glenn of Owasso; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
