NAOMI RUTH SCHULTZ

The funeral for Naomi Ruth Bedwell Schultz, 88, of Oklahoma City, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Baggerley Memorial Chapel, 13313 N. Kelley, Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Okeene.

She was born Oct. 19, 1918, on the family farm near Okeene to Arlo and Edna Bedwell and died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007.

She graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1936.

She married Loren Paul Schultz in 1937. They made their home in Hitchcock, later moving to California where he served at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and she was a homemaker. Following the war she moved to Napa Valley, outside of Yountville, Calif., where they lived until 1950. They returned to Watonga in 1950. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1961.

From mid-1987 until his death, she provided nursing care to her husband. He died in March 1994.

She was a member of Britton Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She also taught Girl Auxiliary.

Surviving are one son, Roger Schultz; one sister; and a grandson.

In addition to her husband, Loren, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two brothers.
