The funeral for Hulda Pope, 95, of Okeene, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Loyal United Methodist Church, Loyal. The Revs. Bob Jones and Bob Barr will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery . Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Okeene. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born March 1, 1913, in Isabella to Jacob and Molly Bierig and died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Kingfisher Hospital, Kingfisher.

She married Sylvester Ivan Pope in 1928. They made their home southeast of Okeene. He died in June 1986. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Jones and Carol Ann Gripp, both of Delaware; two sons, Jay W. Pope of Okeene and Richard Pope of Tyler, Texas; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, Sylvester, she was preceded in death by one son.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Okeene Hospital Foundation.
