Deceased: Bertha Louise Nusz
Date: October 27, 2009

The funeral for Bertha Louise Nusz, 80, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Okeene. The Rev. Harold Hatt will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Longdale to Milo and Louise Seelke Bartel and died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

She graduated from Okeene High School and attended the University of Oklahoma School of Nursing. She married Woodrow Nusz Aug. 7, 1949. They farmed in the Okeene area until 1975 when they moved to Enid. She worked at Okeene Hospital and later at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

She was a member of St. John Church, Okeene, and First United Methodist Church, Enid.

Surviving are one son, Randel of Okeene; two daughters, Connee Boekman of Cleo Springs and Lorree Nusz of Stratford, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, arthritis division, or Our Daily Bread meal program.
