Robert G. Laubach
September 14, 1939 ~ October 18, 2019

Robert G. Laubach was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on September 14, 1939 to George Laubach and Alta Campbell Laubach and passed from this life on October 18, 2019 in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Enid, due to complications from pneumonia. He graduated from Okeene High School in 1957 and from Okmulgee Tech in 1959 with certification in automotive technology.

He worked for his father in Laubach Auto Supply beginning in 1959. When his brother-in-law, Robert Haffner, joined the business the name was changed to Okeene Supply. Bob retired in 2002. Prior to retirement Bob and Donna built The Stor Haus, storage buildings, which was a joy to Bob to have something to tinker with.

Bob married Janice Nusz and to this union two children were born, son, John and daughter, Christy.

Bob and Donna Schlotthauer married in 1984 at which time he gained stepdaughter, Jarilyn Wichert.

Bob is predeceased by his mother, father and sister, Faye Haffner.

Bob is survived by spouse, Donna; son, John, his wife and three daughters of Big Bear, California; daughter, Christy Brown, her spouse and two daughters of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bob is also survived by Rodney and Jarilyn Wichert of Pampa, Texas and their children, Whitney, Landon and son, Tripp Jackson, Jacob, Keeley and son, Lucas Wichert, Bailey and Bret Troxell, all of Texas.

There will be no viewing. A memorial service honoring Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Okeene (402 S. 5th). Rev. Dr. Harold Hatt will be officiating. Following the service the cremains will be interred at Roselawn Cemetery followed by a dessert/visitation at the Zion Baptist Church Fellowship Center (503 N. 3rd). Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc.of Okeene.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Okeene Hospital Foundation or the Okeene Public Library in care of Lanman Funeral Home.
