Romilda Mae (Laubach) Haworth

Romilda Mae (Laubach) Haworth
April 12, 1928 - March 9, 2021

Romilda Haworth, lifelong resident of Okeene, OK, passed away Tuesday March 9, 2021, at Okeene Municipal Hospital.

Romilda Mae Laubach was born April 12, 1928, in Okeene to Charles A. and Hannah Laubach. She attended Okeene Public Schools and graduated as the Valedictorian in 1946. After graduation she worked at Hayes Drug Store and there she met the love of her life Sylvan Dean Haworth. She married Sylvan February 6, 1949, at the Zion Baptist Church. They made their home in Okeene and had 3 beautiful children.

She loved nothing more than having a house full of family. She valued any time she was able to spend babysitting her grandkids and great-grandkids and continued to watch them often up until September of last year. Everyone loved and always requested her homemade angel food cake with the famous peanut butter frosting. She loved making sloppy joes, chicken dish and krautburgers in bulk so she could share with all of her family and friends. Anyone who visited Romilda saw how much she was loved and how much she loved others by admiring the walls in her home. She was surrounded by walls that were filled with pictures of her loved ones.

Romilda is survived by her son David and wife Marta Haworth, son Michael and wife Denice Haworth, daughter Nancy and husband Mike Haffner. Sister Charlene and husband A.B. Clement. Grandchildren are Chris and Tiffany Haworth, Tim and Melanie Haworth, Katy and Justin Anderson, Ali Milligan, Sammi Cottrill, Megan and Buddy King, Ryan and Aubrey Haffner, Brock Haffner, Hunter and Chase Reames, Claire Haffner and Dawson Haworth. She has 19 amazing great-grandchildren that she loved more than anything.

Romilda was preceded in death by her husband Sylvan, parents Charles A. and Hannah Laubach, sister Gene Miles, brothers Marvin Laubach and Donald Laubach and son-in-law Jim Dobrinski.

The memorial service for Romilda will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the Roselawn Cemetery officiated by her nephew Bud Laubach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to Okeene Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 489, Okeene, OK 73763.
