George Dobrinski of Okeene passed away Wednesday, November 5, at the age 84.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 9, at 10:00 a,m. at the Methodist Church in Okeene.

Burial in the Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene.

George Dobrinski, lifelong resident of Okeene, passed away Thursday November 5 at the Okeene Hospital after battling lung cancer for one year. George Milton Dobrinski was born August 27, 1936 in Okeene to Bill and Hannah Karbs Dobrinski. He attended Okeene public schools, graduating in 1954. He married Karel Weber on May 5, 1961 making their home in Okeene where he was employed as a mechanic at Ted Benefiel Ford, pipeline construction with Arkla Gas Company and later retired as Milling Superintendent at Okeene Milling Company after 32 years. Upon his full-time retirement he continued farming and cattle ranching with Bob Ford until 2018.

He has served his Okeene community on the Okeene Fire Department, school board and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, serving in various positions including youth sponsor. His work ethic, love and dedication to his family and friends were examples to many.

He was preceded in death by son Jim Dobrinski, parents Bill and Hannah, brothers Percy, Harley, Frank and sisters Diana Kirtley, Jeanette Cox and has one surviving sister Verla Morkes living in California.

He is survived by wife Karel, daughter in law Nancy Dobrinski Haffner, son Kevin Posey and wife Kathy Hooper, and son Mike Dobrinski and wife Ginny. Grandchildren are Ali Milligan, Megan and Buddy King, Channing Posey, Victoria Blackburn, Madison Posey, Michael Dobrinski, Jamie and Kortney Dobrinski, Scott Dobrinski, Shelby and Gage Owen and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service is 10 am Monday, November 9, at the United Methodist Church with internment following at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Okeene Municipal Hospital or Hospice Circle of Love in Enid.
