The funeral for Clarence E. “Butch” Pickett, 62, of Geary, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at 2008 Bualah Land COGIC, Geary. Burial will be in Geary Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Anthony Pickett will officiate. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Geary to Hugh and Margie Pickett and died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in Wichita, Kan.

He graduated from Geary High School and attended Church of God in Christ Church. He enlisted in the Air Force following graduation. He was a skilled laborer, working in the construction industry.

Surviving are three sons, Clarence E. Pickett Jr., Darryl Pickett of Valdosta, Ga., and Broderick Pickett of Geary; five brothers, Hugh and Raymond Pickett, both of Oklahoma City, Roscoe Pickett, Ronald Pickett and Billie J. Pickett; four sisters, Kathryn Qualls of Antioch, Calif., Barbara Spence of Austin, Texas, LaVera Alexander and Vivian Johnson of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
