DOROTHIA FOSTER


The funeral for Dorothia Foster, 92, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Community of Christ Church, Canton. Burial will be in Canton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Haigler Funeral Home Inc., Canton. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1923, in Madison, Wis., to Arthur and Eulalia Tonn and died Wednesday, July 6, 2005.

She married Earl Rex Foster Oct. 14, 1945, in Canton, where they operated Foster's Trading Post until he died in 1973. She continued to live in Canton until 1991, when she moved to Memphis, Tenn. She returned to Canton in 1995, living there until 2001, when she moved to Watonga. She moved to Watonga Nursing Center in January 2005.

Surviving are four children, Don Foster of Canton, Darlene Womack of Memphis and Shirley Cayot and Barbara Lawsen, both of Watonga; one sister, Myrtle Alderson of Madison, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Rex, she was preceded in death by one sister.
