Obituary for Kenneth Boone

A Celebration of Life for Kenneth Ray Boone, 65, of Enid, will be Thursday, May 12, 2016, 2:00 PM at the Canton Cemetery, Canton, OK with Rev. Alan Seibel officiating. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home from 6 to 7 PM on Wednesday.

Kenneth was born April 4, 1951 in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Ray and Opal Robinson Boone and passed away May 8, 2016. He attended Garber High School. He served in the U S National Guard from 1972 to 1976. He was united in Marriage to Janet Timm May 11, 1974. He was employed by Palecek Mills and then owned and operated LJH Trucking with Larry Hoffman and later formed Boone’s Trucking in the early 80s. He later joined Advance Food Company as one of the first truck drivers for the company and was employed by them for 22 years. At the time of his death he was employed by Fed-Ex. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved watching sports, especially OU football.

Survivors include a son, Dustin Boone and his wife Cassey of Edmond, OK, two daughters, Shawnya Driskell and her husband James of Enid, Kasey Schmig and her husband Joshua of Enid, OK, five grandchildren, Kristen, Jaylen, Sierra, Kylie and Casin and one great grandson, Jase. He is also survived by a son from a previous marriage, John Hastings. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Imogene Bitz and two brothers, Cliff and Glen Edsall.
