Louise Barney
(April 27, 1940 - February 3, 2016)

Graveside services for Louise (Orrell) Barney, 75, of Canton, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Canton Cemetery with Steve Driskill officiating. Services are under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Louise (Orrell) Barney was born April 27, 1940 at Fort Cobb, OK to Leslie Lee and Dora Mae (Wilson) Orrell. She departed this life on Wednesday morning, February 3, 2016 at Fairview, OK. Louise grew up at Fort Cobb and graduated high school in the class of 1958. She received her bachelors degree at Oklahoma State University and her masters degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Weatherford, OK. Louise taught school at Geary, OK, Brenham, TX, Longdale, OK and Canton, OK. She also gave music lessons at her home for many years. She enjoyed raising cattle, playing the piano and also playing pool.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Barney; and one brother, Bill Orrell; Survivors include her son, Kyle Barney and his wife Meridith of Canton, OK; two grandsons, Clint Barney of Canton, OK and Stetson Barney of Joshua, TX; Condolences may be made to the Canton F.F.A. with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O.
