OKEENE - Recitation of the Rosary for Oscar Eugene Iven, 33, who died at Woodward, will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wilkinson Mortuary in Okeene. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am, Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Cude will be celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 7, 1957, in Okeene , to Oscar George and Agnes Luetkemeyer Iven and graduated from Okeene High School. He attended Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, and graduated magna cum laude. He had been employed as a mud engineer for an Oklahoma City firm before moving to Okeene where he farmed for several years.

He was a memberer of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his mother, Agnes Iven of Okeene; eight brothers, John of Hurst, Texas, Nicholas of Horsehead, N.Y., Max and Sam, both of Oklahoma City, Tom of Tecumseh, Tim, Alan and Jeff, all of Okeene; and one sister, Joyce Harper of Sundance, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Alliance of the Mentally Ill.
