DWIGHT BOECKMAN


A rosary service for Dwight Aloysius Boeckman, 27, of Okeene will be 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Okeene. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Okeene. The Revs. David Cowden, Scott Boeckman and Mark Mason will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Okeene. Arrange-ments are by Wilkinson Mortuary.

He was born Dec. 16, 1977, in Enid to Duane and Bernadette Boeckman and died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005.

He graduated from Okeene High School in 1996. He attended University of Central Oklahoma, Southwest-ern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma State University until July 9, 2000, when a diving accident left him paralyzed.

Through Dwight Boeck-man Benefit, he made many donations to the Christopher Reeve Foundation, The Miami Project for Paralysis and funds to help cure multiple sclerosis, cystic fibrosis, breast cancer and brain cancer and to fund scholarships.

Surviving are his parents, Duane F. Boeckman of Okeene and Bernadette Province of Weatherford; one sister, Becky L. Roberts; one brother, Clint J. Province of Weatherford; and his grandparents, Frank M. and Mildred M. Pospisil.

Memorials may be made for the new sports complex football field scoreboard with First National Bank, Okeene, as custodian of the fund, or through the funeral home to the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation or The Miami Project.
