Anna Mae Gray Rice Submitted by: Wanda Purcell
Anna Mae Rice was born on Dec. 16, 1937 in Reydon, Oklahoma and passed away in the Elk City Community Hospital on March 24, 1989 after an extended illness at the age of 51 years, 3 months, 8 days.
Anna Mae, the daughter of James Eslie and Molly May Gray, married Marvin Leroy rice on Nov. 29, 1958 in Wheeler, TX and they lived in Reydon before moving to Woodward where Anna Mae attended school and becam and LPN. They later moved back to Cheyenne to make their home. She was a member of the Cheyenne Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by: her husband, Marvin; 2 sons, Mark of Cheyenne and Johnny and his wife, Anna of Reydon; 1 sister, Anita Keith of Erick; 2 brothers, Jim Gray of Fritch, TX, Coe Gray of Navasota, Tx.; 2 grandchildren, Richard and Wendy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were conducted Monday, March 27, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Juanice Parkhurst and Mark Dodson officiating.
Burial followed unde the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne.
Honorary pallbearers: James Gray, Jerry Keith, Bill Hall, gene White, Dr. Craig Phelps, Dr. John Perkins, Dr. Dennis Friesen.
