Melvin Roy McIntyre was born July 281, 1920 in Erick, OK to Lillie and
William Horace McIntyre and passed away August 26, 1993 in his home at
the age of 73 years and 28 days.
Melvin married Selma Pope on January 13, 1940 in Sayre, Oklahoma. They
moved to Silverton, Texas beofre moving to California. In 1942 they
moved to Erick, Oklahoma and then to Hydro, Oklahoma for a short time
before moving to Sweetwater in 1961 to make their home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 sons, 1 brother, 1
sister and 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by 1 duahgter and son in law, Sharon and Rodney Smith,
Sayre; 2 sisters, Pauline Hooper of Springtown, TX and Betty Jefferson
of Erick; 2 brothers, Alvin mcIntyre of Delhi, OK and William McIntyre
of Amarillo, TX; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of
other relatives and friends.
Services willbe 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 1993 at the Rose chapel
officiated by Tom Cooksey. Interment will be in the Brookside
Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose
Chapel Funeral Service, Sayre.
