Dr. Tim Youree was born August 9, 1930 in Geronimo, Oklahoma to Gardie Lee and Raymond E. Youree and passed away on August 14, 2017 at the age of 87 years and 5 days.

Growing up, Tim proved that no matter where you come from a good life is there for the taking. He and his older brother Dale, truly raised themselves from the ages of five and seven. Starting at about age 14, he rarely made school before Thanksgiving because he jockeyed for his father who raced horses in almost all 46 states and Mexico. Tim graduated from Duncan High School in 1948. He was a golden glove boxer with a record of 50-1 who started college at Cameron University on a boxing scholarship and attended for 2 years. He entered the United States Air Force in 1950 and served in England and Scotland until 1954. After his discharge from the Air Force he enrolled in Oklahoma A&M College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1956. After graduation, he entered the Kansas City School of Dentistry and completed his first year before he and Jerry Louise Jones were married at Duncan, Oklahoma on August 2, 1957. The next 3 years , Tim put himself through school with the aid of his wife's PHT degree (push hubby through) and he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1960. In June of 1960, Tim and Jerry moved to Sayre where he opened his dental practice which he operated until 2000. He was very involved in the Sayre community and was loved by his family, friends and patients with whom he had the reputation of being a gentle, caring, pain-free dentist. People still say he is the only dentist they never feared. He loved to golf, hunt, fish, and dance. But his greatest love grew stronger every day. This is the love he had for his wife. His life truly was a love story.

He was preceded in death by parents and a grandson, Jonathan Garrison.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jerry, of the home; a daughter, Katrina Alexander and husband, Lonny, of Sayre, OK; a son, Tim Youree of Sayre, OK; 7 grandchildren, Amber Abbo and husband, Joseph, Gregory Garrison, Jr., Amy Rylant and husband, Robert, Lincoln J. Youree, Jilian Youree, Alexandria Youree Glendenning and husband, Dillon, Isaac Youree; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Dale Youree and wife, Florence, of Addington, OK and a host of other relatives, and friends.
