ALLISON - Virginia Miller, 80, died Monday, June 10, 2002, in Spearman.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Gary Smith, pastor of First Christian Church in Spearman, officiating.
Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller was born in Wakefield, Neb., to Archie and Julia Bohannon Dillon.
She was raised and lived her life in Allison.
She married Rex R. Miller on April 8, 1940, in Sayre, Okla. She assisted her
husband in operating Miller Grocery in Allison. She was a member of Allison
Methodist Church and a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996; her parents; and a brother,
Neville Dillon.
Survivors include two sons, Kelly Miller and wife, Debie, of Hugoton, Kan.,
and Jim Miller and wife, Marlene, of Spearman; two daughters, Texas Patton
and husband, Sammy, of Montague, and Lynda Banger and husband, Mark, of
Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice, 707 S. Roland St.,
Spearman, TX 79081.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
