ERICK, Okla. - Dennis Wells Burrus, 70, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, in Sayre.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home Chapel with John Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Erick Cemetery.
Mr. Burrus was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Randall County, Texas. He served as chief of police in Erick for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Nina; two stepchildren, Ivalene Smith of Erick and James Archer of Denver; a brother, Ray Burrus of Lipscomb, Texas; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
