Visitation for Bill Maples will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles
St.) on Sunday, November 7, and Monday, November 8, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
and graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Tuesday,
November 9, 2004 at 1:00 p.m.
Bill Maples was born February 17, 1933 in Elk City, Oklahoma and he passed
away on November 4, 2004 in Bakersfield, California. Bill is survived by his
wife of 52 years, Faye L. Maples; daughter, Carolyn Sly; son, David Maples;
daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Roger Paulk; 5 grandchildren; numerous great
grandchildren; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many
friends.
Bill loved all sports. He enjoyed old cars and making them, "supped-up
street rods." He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. His favorite times were times
spent with his family. He was a true "family man." He enjoyed having his
family all around him. He would always say, "the more the merrrier." For
