At the age of 4, he and his family moved to Anderson, South Carolina. He lived in various towns in Texas during his early childhood and early teens. At the age of 16, he moved back to Hagerstown, Maryland to live with his father and stepmother Joyce. At 18, he moved to Florida for a short time before moving to Sayre to live with his sister Gracia. He also lived in Corsicana, Texas for several years where his sister Betty Jo and family live. He moved back to Sayre in 1997 and decided to stay. During his lifetime he worked for several power line companies. He also worked for Leroy Hagerman at Hagerman’s Service Station for a time. He was currently working for Troy Jones as a mechanic. Daniel loved to ride motorcycles, take care of his dogs and spend time with his family. 

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents and a sister, Donna Marie Pace. 

He is survived by 2 sisters, Gracia Shannon and husband, Bill, Sayre, OK and Betty Jo Richards and husband, Jim, Corsicana, TX; his mother, Rose Ashley, Sayre, OK; his nieces and nephews, Timothy Shannon and fiancé, Chelsea Fish, Tiffany Vidaurri and husband, Eligio, Jr. and their children, Landree and Eligio, III, Jamie Shannon and fiancé, Kelly and children, Nicoli, Faith and Korbin, Tammy Pennington and husband, Gary and their children, Christopher and Abbey, Erica Perry and husband, Joseph and their children, Anna, Ryan and Robert, Marquita Maynard and husband, Jude and children, Krystal and Danielle, Keisha McAbee and husband, Steve, and children, Nathaniel, Angelic and Steve, Jr.; his stepmother, Joyce Netz, Hagerstown, MD; his children, Benjamin Netz and Courtney Netz, both of Wisconsin, Brittney Netz and Harley Netz, both of Sayre, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
